Jammu, Dec 22: Chairman, NPP and Member National Integration Council, Professor Bhim Singh today flayed appointment of a `Kashmiri’ professor as Vice Chancellor of the Central University, Jammu.
“The Congress leadership at the Centre has once again proved that the Congress has no love for the great and brave Dogras of Jammu. The attitude of the Congress leadership has remained unchanged 1946 when they supported National Conference in their so-called ‘Quit Kashmir’ movement against the Dogras”, he said.
Bhim said that the Congress leadership ruling in the Centre failed to find a single Dogra or an academician from Jammu though Professor Santokh Ram of Jammu was also in the panel of the Vice Chancellors of Jammu University. “Later, several Jammu academicians namely, Prof. Keshav Sharma, Prof. Rajiv Gupta, Dr. Sambyal were also included in the panel just to fool the people of Jammu”, he said.
The PP Chief reminded the people of Jammu that the future of their generations shall be in dark as long as Congress-NC controls the rein of power in the Centre and in J&K. Four Kashmiris have been appointed in the separate universities as Vice Chancellors. There is no Dogra worth being a Vice Chancellor in the judgment of Congress led government. It is shocking”, he lamented.
