Reward cheques given to police officers for role in anti militancy operations

EARLY TIMES REPORT
Udhampur Dec, 22 : DIG Police Gulzar Singh Salathia distributed reward cheques amounting to Rs. 17.25 lacs among the officers and officials who did excellent work in anti militancy in Mahore division which resulted in to the killing of 28 militants in the area in 15 anti militancy operation. He also decorated both the official with the rank of HC and SGCT and fixed JKP batches on the shoulders 5 SPOs who were observed as constables in Police department.

The reward cheques were distributed during police Darbar cum reward ceremony held at Police Station Mahore in Reasi district under the chairmanship of Deputy Inspector General of Police, Udhampur- Reasi Range, Gulzar Singh Slathia today.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Reasi, Anand Jain, Additional SP Reasi, Anita, SDPO, Mahore, Sujit Kumar, other police officers of different ranks and jawans attended the darbar.
During the darbar, the officers and Jawans highlighted their grievances which includes providing of Gensets and heating arrangements at Police Pickets in the highly cold areas like Gulabgarh and Ladh.
Addressing the darbar, Slathia said that genuine demands of officers and jawans raised during the darbar would be fulfilled by providing gensets and kerosene heaters to the hilly pickets. He also thanked DGP, J&K for granting out of turn promotion and sanctioning of huge reward money which would further boost morale of the police officials working against militancy in the area.
SSP, Reasi, Anand Jain thanked the DGP, J&K, Kuldeep Khoda for granting out of turn promotion to SGCT, Kaka Ram and Cons. Mohammad Akhter to the rank of head constable and SGCT respectively and absorption of 5 SPOs namely Bishan no 306/SPO. Jan. Mohd. No 208/ SPO, Rashpal No. 442/SPO, Sher Mohd. No. 301/ SPO and Satpal No. 53/SPO as constables in Police department for their outstanding performance in anti militancy front.
