| NSS winter camp begins at GDC Poonch | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 22:National Service Scheme unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Poonch today started the annual winter camp in the college premises. The camp was formally inaugurated by the Prof G.L.Sharma, the college principal. Besides NSS volunteers the function was attended by all the members of the teaching faculty and non-teaching staff.
Dr Harvinder Kour, NSS Programme officer welcomed the chief guest and esteemed faculty members. Prof. G.L.Sharma in his address highlighted the importance of such camps in educational institutions and the role of NSS volunteers in social activities. Prof. Wajahat Hussain Jaffri, NSS Programme officer of the college presented a vote of thanks and announced the list of activities to be organized during the camp. After the programme a cleanliness drive was started in the Bio-sciences blocks and gardens of the college. The programme was appreciated by all the members of teaching faculty and non-teaching staff present at the occasion.
