Panthers Party demands reorganization of J&K | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 22: The Kupwara district unit of Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) today presented a memorandum of demands to Interlocutors. Led by Syed Rafiq Shah, MLC and State General Secretary presented the following Memorandum to Interlocutors demanding Reorganization of J&K in order to remove existing discrimination with the regions of Jammu and Ladakh. The Panthers Party delegation told interlocutors that there was no governance in J&K and the State has to be reorganized in order to remove unnatural and heterogeneous union of J&K State which was founded by Dogra Maharaja Gulab Singh in 1846 following the Treaty of Amritsar with the East India Company. The Panthers Party said that separation of powers; Legislative, financial and political is the only way out to remove internal tension between the different regions and ensure smooth functioning of the governance in the three regions. The following is text of the memorandum; “Jammu and Kashmir has been passing through tides and turbulences for the past six decades mainly for the reason that the ruling parties of the state never acted fairly and honestly with the people residing in the rural areas of J&K.
