Bhim arrested with hundreds of JKNPP activists | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT New Delhi, Dec 22: To express their solidarity with Telugu Desam party’s demands for the farmers in Andhra Pradesh, the Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) held a protest demonstration at Jantar Mantar here today. The Panthers Party workers broke the police barriers to march towards the Parliament to express their support to Chandrababu Naidu, TDP Chief who has been fasting for the past six days under detention in NIMS Hospital, Hyderabad. Addressing the Panthers Party activists, Prof. Bhim Singh said that farmers in the whole country have been maltreated, discriminated and exploited by the ruling parties since independence. He said that the whole country lives on the bread the farmers produced, survives at the borders by the soldiers who are the children of farmers yet the farmers have been treated like class-III citizens in the country. In a memorandum to the Prime Minister, the Panthers Party has demanded a National Commission to identity the sufferings of the farmers and a national plan for the redressal of their problems from J&K to Kanyakumari and Kohima (Nagaland) to Dwarka (Gujarat). Prof. Bhim Singh called on Panthers Party workers to organize the farmers in the process of Smul Kranti so that ultimate battle of justice could be fought for the farmers and their children. Later, the police arrested Chairman of Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) Prof Bhim Singh along with more than 200 party activists in front of Parliament for defying prohibitory orders today.
