K.C. International School celebrates Annual Day

JAMMU, DECEMBER 22: KC international school today celebrated its fourth Annual Day in the school premises .Dy. Chief Minister, Mr. Tara Chand , chief guest on the occasion said that the Government is universalizing education in every nook and corner by opening a network of schools, colleges and University Campuses to provide quality education to the students of the State.
He said that most of the private schools functioning in the State are strengthening the efforts of State Government in preparing the new generations for competitions at national and international level, thus these institutions deserve to be encouraged and fully supported in all respects by the government.
Lauding the school management for presenting a scintillating cultural bonanza on the occasion, Dy Chief Minister hoped that the school would touch the skies in promoting the secularism and communal harmony.
Referring to the adoption of two children from namely Vibhuti and Javinder, Dy. Chief Minister said that such close ties between resourceful schools and institutions like Bal Niketan can immensely benefit the children of the State. He emphasized for widening collaborations in the days to come so that students of all the communities and sections of the society are benefitted with education of quality.
Secretary J&K Board of School Education, Dr. Sheikh Bashir Ahmad also addressed the function.
Earlier, the Principal of the school, Mr. S. Sarkar while presenting Annual Report of the school said that it has been a journey for seven years now and we feel we have not lost even a bit our vivacity to traverse the vista we have planned.
On this occasion, the students of the school presented cultural bonanza on the theme 'India Young Forever'. It was a journey from ancient civilization to modern world. The programme depicted the glimpses of India's struggle for freedom and its growing strength.
Deputy Chief Minister awarded the students and teachers with trophies for their high merit and best services in the field of academics, sports, music, and Fine-Arts.
The function was among others attended by members of the Board Dr. Mulk Raj Chilana, ex-Brig. S. S. Sahnai, Chairman. Vinay Mahajan, Vice Chairman Mrs. Saroj Mahajan, Member of Trustees Mr. Chaitanya Choudhary, Vishal Ji, Dr. Shikha, Director Academics S, Harbachan Singh and Headmistress Mrs. Mamta Chopra.
