| MLA Reasi announces fund for school building | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATRA, Dec 22: Gradually gearing up for the forthcoming municipal elections, MLA Reasi Baldev Raj Sharma now a days is busy in taking stock of the problems being faced by the people and at the same time keeping the promises made during the assembly elections.
Fulfilling the demands of people residing in Hansali ward no 8, Katra, MLA Sharma announced a sum of Rs 4.40 lakhs for the construction of 3 additional rooms in the Government Middle School Hansali. For the constructing of boundary wall around the school, additional sum of 1.83 lakhs is also released which has proved to be a great help not only to the students but also to the teachers to impart education in a conducive atmosphere. Reacting to people’s demand of upgrading the school to high school level, Baldev said as soon as he would get the upgradation quota, this school would be on priority. For the sufficient supply of drinking water to ward no 8, Rs 3.72 lakhs has been earmarked, MLA informed. While addressing the gathering, Sharma said people are already facing a lot of inconvenience by not getting ration on time due to non-availability of depot to their nearest approach. As such, on the eve of New Year, a new ration depot would start functioning for the easy availability of ration at their door-steps. Residents of ward appreciated the role of MLA in chalking out their long pending demands
