| Parveen scripts MCC Reasi’s big win in T20 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, December 23: Brilliant all round performance from Parveen Singh today helped MCC Reasi to make it a big 67 runs win over Mahavir Cricket Club Jammu in the ongoing DySP Manjit Singh Memorial Twenty20 Cricket Tournament at Sports Stadium, here.
Parveen earlier helped his side set a big total making 28-ball 45 runs and later clinched three wickets.
Batting first after winning the toss, MCC Reasi set a target of 175 runs for the loss of seven wickets, which, in reply, Mahavir Club could not chase and bowled out for 107 runs in 17.2 overs.
Parveen made highest 45 runs (off 28 balls, 1x6, 7x4) while Dev contributed 23-ball 30 runs studded with four boundaries. From Mahavir Club, Sharat and Ankush shared two wickets each.
Later, chasing a target of near eight-run per over, MCC Reasi bowled out for 107 runs in 17.2 overs. Shub was top scorer with 33 (off 27 balls, 7x4) runs. Nadeem was most successful bowler from MCC Reasi with three for nine runs in 3.2 overs while Parveen took three for 17.
For his match winning innings, Parveen was obvious choice for man of the match trophy. He was also presented a cash prize of Rs 500 by local businessman, Nitin Sharma.
Today’s match was officiated by Jagbir singh and Ram Lubaya (PET) and KV Singh (scorer).
