Where is JU fast track examination policy? | Mark-sheets not signed even after 18 days of declaration of results | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 23: National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) today expressed strong resentment against Jammu University Examination defects. A meeting of National Students’ Union of India was held in Jammu University under the leadership of state general secretary NSUI Arjun Singh Pathania where in examination issues were discussed in detail. Issuing the press briefings of the meeting, Pathania brought to the notice of reporters that examination department has not signed mark sheets of Law Department even after seventeen days of declaration of results. He briefed that results were declared on 6th of December for LL.B. 2nd and 4th Semester of LL.B. -3 Years examinations, but they are not issued mark-sheets as yet. He further briefed that while on the one hand Jammu University is talking of faster results and shorter sessions which are harming students adversely while on the other hand Jammu University was not working on its own administrative faults. He added that students have to come to university daily so as to collect their mark-sheets in the tough examination times so that they may inquire their marks or grades and fill examination and re-evaluation forms. He further said, “Filling a form in examination has become so difficult that students face huge difficulty, Jammu University should start single window system and electronic filling of forms”. He also said that Jammu University should not adopt an attitude where they start reforms only after agitations, dharna etc. Other prominent NSUI leaders who were present in the meeting include state secretary Chetan Misri, City President Abhimanyu Jamwal, Aman Mahajan, Sajjad Ahmed, Varun Kashyap,. Rafaqat Rashid, Ranjit Thakur, Pawan Dev, Varun Sawhney and Bamun Singh.
