Govt failed to execute developmental of backward areas: PDP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 23: Lambasting coalition regime for virtually halting developmental activities in the State, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today regretted that residents of the backward and far-flung areas have been bearing brunt of the government non serious attitude towards executing development programmes. Addressing one day convention of the district committee members of Udhampur and Reasi districts, PDP leaders said that PMGSY programme which was aimed at connecting inaccessible areas through road connectivity with the nearby towns has virtually came to halt in the remotest areas of Udhampur and Reasi because State Government was failed to properly implement this programme. Contesting claims of the coalition regime on developmental fronts, they said that failure of the authorities to implement PMGSY programmes in backward areas of Udhampur and Reasi districts speaks about non serious attitude of those who are at the helm of the affairs. Taking a dig at coalition regime for its failure to provide even basic amenities to the people, they said that majority of the residents of the backward areas of Udhampur and Reasi have been confronting with the shortage of ration but government was not serious in solve this problem.
