| Thieves struck into residential house, decamp with cash, jewelry | | Bear attacks another person at Poonch | | JAMMU NOV-06- Bear attacked yet another person in Poonch district, petrol pump at Tikri sealed while some miscreants decamped with Rs.10,000 in cash and gold and silver ornaments in Ramnagar area. Sixteen bovines sized from a truck and driver arrested at Chanderkot. A Police report said that one Mohammed Sharief aged 40 years son of Ahad Sheikh of Barachar falling under Police Station Loran Poonch was attacked by a bear causing serious injuries on his body. He was immediately shifted to Hospital for treatment. It may be recalled that this is not the single incident of its kind as during the last few months, the man-eater has created havoc in the twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch claiming several lives including some minor children. The people are so frightened and feel insecure to venture out. The report further said that during a Naka checking Chanderkot Police today arrested a truck driver and recovered 16 bovine from the truck and registered a case. In the meantime, during the intervening night of 1-2 November, some miscreants broke the wall of a house belonging to Nasib Singh son of Inder Singh Thakur of Kathil Ganjoo Tehsil Ramnagar and stole cash worth Rs.10,000 and some gold and silver ornaments. A case has been registered in Police station Ram Nagar and the investigation is going on, the reports said.
