| Stop taking undue publicity with self-styled inaugurations: Pathania | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 24: Taking a potshot at PWD department for remaining a silent spectator to self-styled inaugurations of multi-crore centrally-sponsored scheme including Prime Minister Grameen Sadak Yojna (PMGSY) projects by MLA Ramnagar, senior Vice-President J&K Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC) RS Pathania alleged that MLA is running after cheap publicity.
Pathaina was addressing a meeting of Pradesh Youth Congress activists convened at party headquarters here today.
Not even a daily-rated employee visits the site of inauguration, but local MLA has a fad with inaugurations and installation of name-plates is really amusing, he said.
PYC leader has also sought cancellation of allotments of such contractors who are allowing and facilitating such self-styled functions. While making a complaint to Chief Minister, he has sought initiation of appropriate proceedings against the concerned officers of PMGSY who cannot check the menace of such self-styled inaugurations. By inaugurating these centrally-funded schemes, local MLA wants to divert the public attention from the worst reign of under-development, administrative neglect, political inefficiency and lawlessness in Ramnagar. In areas of road connectivity, provision of drinking water, electricity, human and animal healthcare, development of agriculture, horticulture and sericulture, tourism promotion, educational facilities, employment avenues the comparative graph of the area is very poor.
