NPP leaders call on Task Force, demand re-organization of J & K | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu Dec 24: Stressing the need for equitable development with equal distribution of funds to all the regions, Panthers Party today reitearted that re-organisation of the state is the only way out to respect and address the aspirations of the people of each region to remove developmental anomalies. This was conveyed by a high level delegation of NPP led by Harsh Dev Singh MLA, Working Chairman of the party comprising Balwant Singh Mankotia MLA, State President, Yashpual Kunal MLA State General Secretary, Shri Faqir Nath Ex-MLA, Provincial President, B.B. Kotwal Adv, Vice-Chairman, S. Daljit Singh State Vice-President, Anita Thakur and H.C. Jalmeria Adv State General Secretaries, Bansi Lal Sharma Adv. political advisor to JKNPP, Raghubir Singh Biloria who met the members of the Task Force in Jammu Hotel Riviera. The Panthers Party presented a 19 point memorandum emphasizing that development of neglected regions is possible only when there is equitable distribution of Finances for its development. This is possible only when each region has equitable share in political power this is possible only when the legislative power is vested in each region separately. The Panthers Party suggested to the central members of the Task Force. The Task Force deputed by the Prime Minister of India to study the recommendation of Gajendragadker Commission which was constituted on the insistence of Dr. Karan Singh, the Union Minister with . Indira Gandhi. Harsh Dev Singh also suggested that all political other than congress-NC should form a pressure group to ensure re-organisation of the state on the cultural, linguistic and geographical identity of each region Ladakh, Kashmir and Jammu.
