| REZ, Agr minister lock horns at Kathua | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kathua Dec 24 The Rehbar-e-Ziraat employees and the Agriculture Minister Gulam Hassan Mir entered into a verbal dual at Kathua today with the leader of the employees seeking an explanation from the minister.
The REZ employees led by the district president of Agriculture Technocrats Association, Sanjeev Verma sought regularization of their services. Verma, irritated by the statement of the minister sought clarification from the minister when he said the government was interested in regularizing the REZ.
He used words like `impotent’ and `undemocratic’ for the government and accused the minister of marring the career of 2800 REZs.
The minister ultimately assured the delegation of proper action. Lal Chand, Shami, Kitu, Naresh Sangral and Happy were present.
