Congress delegation meets TF | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu Dec 24, A delegation of Senior Congress leaders met the visiting team of Prime Minister’s Task Force, in Jammu today. The delegation put forth the view point with regard to equitable development of all three regions Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. The leaders suggested for evolving a fair and transparent mechanism of distribution of funds and resources between three regions and also to all the districts in each region. The delegation pointed out certain short comings in the system which results into resentment at various levels. The delegation put forth various demands of different parts of Jammu region for better connectivity, promotion of tourism, power projects, drinking water and irrigation projects, health and educational facilities in all parts of the province. The delegation also suggested the strengthening of District Development Boards and the empowerment Panchayat Raj Institution at all levels for full involvement of people in the development process. The balanced and equitable development of all three regions would strengthen the unity and integrity of the state, the delegation said. Meanwhile the delegation told the team that a detailed memorandum would also be submitted. The delegation comprised of Pt. Dharam Pal Sharma-Sr. Vice President PCC, Th. Hari Singh and Yash Paul Khajuria-vice Presidents and Ravinder Sharma-MLC, General Secretary & Spokesperson PCC.
