| Dilbagh Singh takes over as IGP Jammu | | | JAMMU: Dilbagh Singh took over as the new Inspector General of Police Jammu Zone replacing Ashok Kumar Gupta, who has been transferred and posted as Director, Sher-e-Kashmir State Police Academy, Udhampur.
Dilbagh Singh, IGP Jammu has earlier held important assignments in various wings of J&K Police.
As Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Dilbagh Singh has served in both the militancy hit Anantnag and Baramulla ranges and has also served as DIG Security and DIG Jammu-Kathua range.
He has also remained Director of Chief Minister's Security.
On his promotion as Inspector General of Police, Dilbagh Singh has served as IGP Crime and Railways, J&K; Intelligence Chief of J&K; IGP Traffic, J&K; IGP Home Guards, Civil Defence and Auxiliary Police J&K; IGP Armed Police J&K and Director, Sher-e-Kashmir State Police Academy Udhampur. |
