Jammu: Bhartiya Janta Party today rocked the strongest ever gathering of Jammuites who stood testimony to greatest ever assurance by the saffron contingent to usher peace, prosperity and development into the state while nailing all detrimental facets into their coffins. Jampacked parade ground and swelling crowd outside the entry gates on both sides of the ground was enough to give worries to the local Congress and Natonal Conference leaders as impressive show of strength by the state unit of the BJP has set a new bench mark for their rivals to match.
“Jammu has not seen such a huge rally in the recent years by any one political party”, was the unanimous comment.
Even by BJP's own standards it was one of the biggest show of strength and every thing passed off peacefully.
The praise showered by the central BJP leaders on the organisation of the rally has boosted the morale of the BJP workers who had laboured hard for past many weeks to make this rally a big success.
The state unit of the party also worked as a cohesive unit and all the sitting party representatives chipped in with all possible help to make it a grand show.
Interestingly, many red faced leaders of the Congress and National Conference were learnt to have verifying the exact number of the crowd after initial reports suggested that over 15,000 people were present at the rally and several hundreds were waiting outside when the leaders of the BJP had not arrived at the venue of the rally.
