| Court grants bail to Sr Asst | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec: 25:- Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu AK Koul granted bail to Yaseen Ansari Senior Assistant in the office of Block Medical Officer Batote who was caught red-handed by the VOJ team while demanded and accepted Rs 3000 as bribe from the complainant for the preparation of pension case and while receiving money he was trapped by VOJ.
While granting bail to the applicant, Court observed that state has not been able to make out a case for rejection of bail and to the contrary there are sufficient grounds for grating bail to the petitioner as the liberty of a citizen is regarded highest by law and curtailing it meaninglessly would amount to be infraction of valuable rights available to an individual.
The court directed that the petitioner be released from custody provided he furnishes bail bond to the tune of Rs 20,000 and surety bond in the like amount. JNF
