Bharat Nirman Public Information campaign from Dec 28 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Doda, Dec 25: Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand will inaugurate 16th Bharat Nirman Public Information Campaign, being organised by Press Information Bureau Srinagar, on December 28, at Govt Higher Secondary School, Doda. This information was given in a high level meeting under the chairmanship of MLA Doda Abdul Majeed Wani, here today. The meeting was attended by District Development Commissioner, Doda Farooq Ahmad Khan, ADC Atta-ur-Rehman, Asst. Director PIB Ghulam Abbas and Tariq Ahmad Rather, Media & Communication Officer, PIB Srinagar. The PIB officers apprised the meeting about the preparations going on for the scheduled three day campaign aimed at making aware the common people about Centrally sponsored flagship programmes and Bharat Nirman rural development package. They said during three day campaign around 40 stalls will be put up by the State and Central government departments/PSUs/NGOs at the venue to showcase their products, services, programmes, schemes and achievements. Besides, lectures will be delivered by the resource persons on various flagship and Bharat Nirman package themes of public interest. The meeting was informed that Sakina Itoo, State Social Welfare Minister will be the Chief Guest on December 29 while Ali Mohammad Sagar, the State Rural Development Minister will preside over the valedictory function on Dec 30. It is pertinent to mention that the Campaign would cover flagship programmes of UPA Govt., which includes Bharat Nirman, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA), National Rural Health Mission, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Mid-day Meal Scheme, Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Scheme and Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM), PM’s New 15 Point Programme for Welfare of Minorities, RTI Act and other centrally sponsored schemes.
