Elections for Teachers Forum held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KATHUA DEC 25, The Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum held zonal level election in district Kathua for the post of president and general secretary. The election was concluded in the presence of election incharge Lecturer Yog Raj Jasrotia in the Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Kathua where the teacher Sunil Kumar elected as the zonal president of the Forum by clinching 63 votes out of 202. While two other contestants Harbans Singh and Haqikat Raj got 4 votes and 19 votes respectively. And on the other hand, the teacher Harish Krishan got the opportunity of the general secretary of the Forum by getting 48 votes and opposite contestant Daljeet Singh secured 37 votes out of the total 202 votes. On the occasion the newly elected president of the Forum Sunil Kumar expressed gratitude to the voters for having supported and entrusting him the responsibility of this post to serve the teachers community."It is the great honour to me for which I would be ready to offer my services to fight for the genuine problems of teachers" he said.
