| Aircel, Natrang initiate Saturday Theatre Series | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 26: Aircel in collaboration with Natrang jointly initiated ‘Saturday Theatre Series’ wherein famous Dogri Plays would be organized on last Saturday of every alternate month at Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu. Jammu Links has come forward to associate itself with this endeavour as Web Media Partner. This week Dogri’s most sought after play Bawa Jitto written by Late Prof. RN Shastri and directed by Balwant Thakur (who is among top 5 Theatre Directors in the country) was staged at above mentioned venue. Set in the rural backdrop, this 15th century folk tale portrays the age-old saga of exploitation of landless farmers by landlords & brave resistance shown by Bawa Jitto – a hard working farmer who refuses to accept injustice and instead prefers to lay down his life. NN Vohra the Governor of J&K had kindly consented to be the Chief Guest on the occasion. Harvinder Pal Singh – Circle Operations Head – Aircel, J&K who was present on the occasion highlighted Aircel’s commitment towards promoting rich cultural heritage of Dogri Language and striking a local connect with Jammuites.
