| Stadium XI, Jr Khirian Club enter third round of T20 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, December 26: Winning their respective matches, Stadium XI Kathua and Khirian Club Jammu today sailed into the third round of ongoing DySP Manjit Singh Memorial Twenty20 Cricket Tournament at Sports Stadium, here.
In the first match of the day, Stadium XI defeated Jallandhar XI by a margin of 25 runs. Earlier, batting first, Stadium XI set a target of 174 runs for the loss of six wickets, which, in reply, Jallandhar XI could not chase and the whole side bowled out for 145 runs in 19.4 overs.
Parshant was declared man of the match for his all round performance. He first made 27-ball 50 runs and later clinched three important wickets.
In another match, Khirian Club registered a 10-run win over Junior Khalsa Club Jammu. Batting first, Khirian made 129 runs, which Junior Khalsa could not chase and lost all their wickets for 119 runs. Ricky was declared man of the match.
