| DIET conducts 6 days orientation programee | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Akhnoor, Dec 26: District Institution of Education and Training (DIET) Jammu conducted a six day re-orientation programme in Social Science subject in Government Boys Higher Secondary School Akhnoor.
Nearly 55 teachers drawn from different schools of four zones of Akhnoor tehsil viz Akhnoor zone, Chowki Choura zone, Jourian zone and Khour zone, participated in the programme. Besides Co-ordinator, Resource Persons from DIET namely Dr Anju Gupta (Economics), Ganesh Dutt Sharma (Geography), Imran Siddiqi (History), Kavi Raj (Political Science) imparted training to the participating teachers and elaborated on their respective subjects.
The teachers expressed their satisfaction over the conduct of the programme and appreciated the expertise of Resource Persons. They were of the view that Social Science is a vast subject and duration of programme need to be longer.
The programme which was formally inaugurated by Zonal Education Officer Akhnoor Gurdev Singh, concluded the other day.
