| Conference on ‘Self-employment’ organized on Indo-Pak border | | |
Jammu Nov-06- A conference on ‘self-employment scheme’, first of its kind in the State, was organized on Indo-Pak border with a aim to educate and motivate the youth and veterans about various self-employment schemes launched by the Central and State governments for the unemployed youth of the State.
The conference organized by Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization J&K at Baspur on Indo-Pak border was among others attended by Dr AN Dubey, Consultant Directorate General of Resettlement Ministry of Defence, Trilok Chand Deputy Director KVIC Regional Office Jammu, Sushil Kumar Manager NABARD, R K Koul Chief Manager SBI and head of District Lead Bank Jammu, S C Sharma Senior Manager PNB, R S Pura, Krishan Lal Assistant Manager J&K Bank R S Pura, Des Raj Choudhary, Citizens Cooperative Bank RS Pura besides some NGOs.
Managing Director and a leading NGO of the state Mansoor Ahmed and Ravi Kumar Secretary and Nirmal Kumari of Gramodyog Hastakala center Kathua highlighted about their on going projects and encouraged the youth of the border villagers to adopt their own ventures which will help them to stand on their own feet for the benefit of self and the family.
A number of unemployed youth including Rajiv Gandotra, Rinku Kumar, Jeet Raj, Vijay Kumar Raj , Vijay Kumar, Arun Gupta, Ajay Kumar, Kiran Kumar, Balbinder Kumar and Vipin Kumar, who also attended the conference, were highly motivated and decided to undertake self employment ventures instead of going for government jobs.
