| Dr Kundal awarded Degree of Doctorate of Medicine | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, Dec 26 : Dr. B.R. Kundal who started his course of Doctorate of Medicine in Neurology in Jan.2008 in AIIMS has been awarded the Degree of Doctorate of Medicine in Neurology. He conducted two research projects in AIIMS.
The research project titled “Effect of handedness on stroke outcome after acute stroke” conducted under guidance of Prof. M.V. Padma won best prize among 246 papers and was awarded Gold medal in the annual conference of Indian Academy of Neurology held at Trichy. This study is published in Annals of Indian Academy of Neurology Volume 13, Supplement 1, 2010. His second project titled “Clinical profile and clinic pathological correlation of adult limb girdle muscular dystrophies’’ under guidenance of Dr. Vinay Goyal is under consideration for publication in international journal - Muscle Nerve. Other than his keen interest in neurology and patient care Dr. Kundal is also involved in teaching and research methodology with special interest in medical education. He is a multifaceted personality with interest in philosophy, humanities, psychology and social literature.
