Three persons arrested, 28 bovines recovered

DODA NOV-06- On a tip off, Doda Police today arrested three persons involved in smuggling of bovines from Doda to Kashmir Valley and recovered 28 bovines from them.
The accused identified as Ali Mohammed son of Ghulam Mohammed, Mushtaq Ahmed son of Abdul Rehman both residents of Zelengam Anantnag and Showkat Ali son of Amkaloo resident of Akramabad Doda were trapped by a Police party in Ghat Nallah while transporting bovines and arrested on the spot. During questioning the accused revealed that they used to collect bovines from different party of the district and transport these to Kashmir Valley via Bharat, Anantnag.
In this regard a case FIR NO 167/2006 under section 188 RPC was registered in the Police station Doda and further investigation in the case is going on. Arrests of some more accused are expected, the spokesman added.
