BVP Sr Sec School celebrates annual day

Jammu, Dec 27- Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Tara Chand today said that the education has been flagged as priority sector and steps are afoot to make the State cent percent literate.
Mr. Tara Chand was addressing an annual day function of BVP senior secondary school Kootah, Hiranagar today.
He said that the Government has opened schools in every nook and corner of the State to provide quality education at the doorstep of the students and promote literacy, adding that educated citizenry is must in democratic set ups like ours.
On this occasion, the students of this school presented a cultural programme, which was highly appreciated by the audience.
Deputy Chief Minister distributed awards and certificates among meritorious students. Among others the function was attended by Former MLA, Hiranagar, Mr. G.L. Chalotra, senior Congress leader, Mr. Parkash Sharma and Director Local Bodies Jammu and SSP Kathua.
