| Cong leader joins BJP | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 27: Choudhary Noor Mohammed, an active worker of the Congress from Gandoh-Balessa tehsil of Doda district joined BJP in the presence of State President Shamsher Singh Manhas and other leaders at party headquarters.
Welcoming Choudhary Noor Mohammed into the party fold, Manhas said that after massive “Ekta Sankalp Rally” a change has been noticed in the minds of majority of ground level activists of even ruling parties as they have understood that BJP is voice of people of far-flung and undeveloped areas. He added that BJP has been agitating on a number of important issues like discrimination not only with Jammu but with the Muslims of Jammu too.
Choudhary Noor Mohammed, on the occasion, said that the Congress party has deviated from its principles and the present ministers and MLAs are promoting cause of their near and dear ones. BJP leaders including Yudhvir Sethi, Dalip Singh Parihar, Swami Raj Sharma, Mehjoor Ahmed, Raj Singh Kotwal, Rajiv Charak and Arun Chibber were present on the occasion.
