| Revenue official in vigilance net | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 27: A senior Assistant posted to the Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) section of Tehsil Office, Srinagar was caught red handed while demanding and accepting an amount of Rs 1500 as illegal gratification from a person.
Acting on the complaint of one Mohammad Shafeeq Ahanger of Dalal Mohalla, Pather Masijid, Srinagar that the senior assistant is demanding bribe as a consideration for preparing Permanent Resident Certificates of his two daughters, the vigilance sleuths raided tehsil office and caught the revenue official red handed while accepting the graft from the complainant. A case to this effect has been registered against FIR No 40/2010 u/s 5(1) (d) under section 5(2) PC Act Svt 2006 and Section 161 RPC stands registered in P/S Vigilance Organisation Kashmir.
