| Plus 2 Forum constitutes committee to list their contribution to state | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 27: All J&K Plus 2 Lectures Forum today constituted Prof Jaswant Singh Shaan Memorial Committee to find out contribution and sacrifices of Plus 2 cadre for development of education system in the state.
This was disclosed by H D Qureshi at Gurudwara Singh Sabha at Nanak Nagar while paying homage “Antim Ardas” to the departed soul in the presence of hundreds of people.
He said that the committee will be headed by Gurcharan Singh (Co-Chairperson of the Forum). The other members of the committee were Manmeet Bali, Gurvinder singh, Natha Ram, Kiranjeet Kour and Talib hussain. He added that committee to work on the life and contribution of Prof Shaan with special focus on his scarification toward Plus 2 cardre.
Qureshi also announced that Forum will be releasing, “Uddaan magazine” in the honour of Prof Shaan and appealed the cadre member to extend their literacy contribution in the shape of articles for publication. The cadre members will have to submit their work at the end of January 2011 to enable the committee to get the material finalized.
He also appealed the Higher Education Minister for timely filing of vacant posts in Lecturers cadre so that the students would not suffer to get quality education.
