Vehicles were off the roads as tight security arrangements have been made in the summer capital of the state for the visit of the President later in the afternoon, they said. People chose to stay indoors as security forces have erected barriers and checkpoints at many places across the city. Although people were allowed into the city after verification by the police and security personnel, general public was not allowed to venture out of their houses at Maisuma, Hari Singh high street, Barzulla, Solina, Rambagh and other areas close to the route expected to be taken by the President.
