Bali’s ton powers Stadium XI to huge win in T20 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KATHUA, December 28: Heroic knock of 133 runs in just 51 deliveries by Pradeep Bali today guided Stadium XI Jammu to an outright 172 runs win in the ongoing DySP Manjit Singh Memorial Twenty20 Cricket Tournament at Sports Stadium, here. Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, the star-studded side of Stadium XI made 222 runs for the loss of four wickets. In reply, Jasrota Cricket Club Kathua bowled out for just 50 runs in 15.2 overs. Top scorer Pardeep Bali took just 51 deliveries to make 133 runs studded with four sixes and 23 hits to the fence. Sagar Gupta and Amit Baloria contributed unbeaten 24 runs each. From Jasrota Club, Vicky and Lara took one wicket each. Later, chasing a mammoth total, Jasrota Club could not face the bowling wrath of first class cricketers, Stadium XI and lost all their wickets for 50 runs in 15.2 overs. Sonu was only recognized scorer with 13 runs. From Stadium XI, Pranav Mahajan and Ram Dayal shared three wickets each. Pardeep Bali was obvious choice for man of the match trophy. He was also presented a cash prize of Rs 1100 for hitting century by local businessman, Sant Kumar Gupta.
