Under this programme, we have flagged off the batch of border students on the visit of Northern India to make them see other parts of the country and raise their know how. The education-cum motivational tour from remote border hamelt of Akhnoor tehsil from Jammu district will visit Amritsar, Jallandhar and Chandigarh from 28 December. A total of 30 students will visit various places of interest including Jalianwala Bagh, Golden Temple and Wagah Border in Amristsar, Science city and wonder land in Jallandhar, Rock garden, Pinjore Garden, Sukhna Laka and Chatbir Zoo in Chandigarh. "The tour will provide a wide exposure to these children which will be of immense learning value", he said.
