Stadium XI Kathua enters QFs of T20 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KATHUA, Dec 29: Stadium XI Kathua today reached the quarterfinals stages outplaying Srinagar Cricket Club Jammu by a margin of 29 runs in the ongoing DySP Manjit Singh Memorial Twenty20 Cricket Tournament at Sports Stadium, here. After winning the toss and decided to bat first, Stadium XI set a target of 141 runs for the loss of five wickets, which, in reply, Srinagar Club could not chase and the whole side bowled out for 111 runs in 18.3 overs. Prashant Singh was top scorer with 50-ball 70 runs and remained unbeaten. Rompy and Nishant contributed 19 and 15 runs respectively. From Srinagar Club, Sunny, Kulwinder and Chamkore shared one wicket each. Later, chasing the target, Srinagar Club bowled out for 111 runs in 18.3 overs thereby lost the match by 29 runs. Rahul Choudhary and Sunny Bakshi were main scorers with 24 and 22 runs in their respective accounts while Puneet added 21. From Stadium XI, Prashant bagged two wickets, followed by Himanshu and Rompy who took one each. For his all round performance, Parshant was declared man of the match. He was presented a cash prize of Rs 1100 by special invitee. Parshant also received Rs 500 for making half century.
