| Pathological laboratory inaugurated inside jail premises | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 29: Inspector General of Police Prisons Department M.A.Anjum today laid the foundation stone of Additional Block of Directorate of Prisons office at Amphalla, Jammu.
The additional accommodation is targeted to be completed by April 2011 and will be housing the Inspector General of Police Prison and staff.
Anjum also inaugurated the Pathological Laboratory inside the district Jail, Jammu Amphalla complex which will facilitate medical investigation inside and inmates will not have to go outside for getting minor pathological tests done.
The step was aimed at increasing basic medical facilities for the jail inmates.
Executive engineer, Police Construction Division Satish Razdan, AEE Virinder Razdan Techincal officer to IGP prison, Javid Masood Fazil staff officer to IGP Prison, Vinod Kumar Superintendent District jail Jammu and Rajni Seghal, Superintendent central jail Jammu Kot Bhlwal were also present on the occasion.
