ADDC inspects various city schools, recommends deduction of one day salary from absentees

JAMMU, NOVEMBER 07
To ensure punctuality in educational institutions, the Additional District Development Commissioner Jammu Sourabh Bhagat conducted surprise inspection of various schools yesterday.
During inspection of two camp schools, Government HSS (Boys/Girls) Bakshi Nagar found that roll of lecturers/teachers in both schools are about 200 while as the students roll was observed nil. DDC Jammu, Director Education were requested to look into the matter and recommended their early additional deployment in those schools where teachers are not available. A camp school Government Girls HSS Bakshi Nagar only 19 out of 52 lecturer/teachers were present in the school. Accordingly deduction of one day salary (without break in service) of the absentees was recommended to Director Education/CEO Jammu.
He also inspected the attendance register of GGHS Reshamgarh and found Smt Suman Gupta teacher unauthorizedly absent from duty and leave register was not properly maintained, accordingly CEO Jammu was directed to deduct one day salary without break in service in favour of Suman Gupta and an explanation shall be called from Kamlesh Suri Headmaster for not maintaining leave register properly.
At Government Girls HSS Bakshi Nagar proxy leave application of Jyoti Thaper and Rashmi Gupta teachers were found. Further the leave of Pawan Wadera was marked by the Principal without any leave application. Deduction of one day salary without break in service in favour of delinquent teachers alongwith incharge Principal Bansi Lal was recommended to Director/CEO Jammu. Incharge Principal Mr Sudershan Sigh was found un-authorizedly absent from duty. Accordingly same punishment was recommended for him as he has not even dispatch his leave to higher authorities.
He also inspected Boys Higher Secondary School Bakshi Nagar and Sarwal where leave registers with effect from June 2006 were not maintained. Accordingly deduction of one day salary alongwith explanation was recommended from Principal Mr Surjeet Singh.
The ADDC also inspected GGHSS Rehari and found Rama Gupta, Vaishali and Kussam lecturers absent from duty and one lecturer Tej Kour had left the school premises after marking attendance. Deduction of one day salary without break in service was recommended in favour of the delinquent teachers and lecturers.
At middle school Sarwal it was found that more than 50 percent staff were on leave and the leave application were suspicious as dates on applications were over written and some were without signatures. In this connection CEO Jammu is directed to deduct one day salary without break in service in favour of Headmaster Neelam Sharma. He also inspected Government Middle School Rehari and found that leave register was not properly maintained with effect from October 17, 2006, accordingly CEO Jammu were directed to deduct one day salary without break in service in favour of Headmaster Dalbir Singh.
