| Kidnapped girl recovered | | | Srinagar: Police today arrested a person, who allegedly kidnapped a girl on Tuesday from north Kashmir's Pattan town. A teenage girl of Udena, Pattan, was kidnapped by Ghulam Ahmed Bhat of Udhna on December 26, police sources said.
Her parents had lodged a complaint with Pattan police station in this regard. Pattan police constituted a special team of under the supervision of Manzoor Ahmed, SHO police station, Pattan, and a number of nocturnal raids were conducted by police on the suspected houses to apprehend the accused person, the sources added.
Today, the abducted girl was recovered in a raid in Ahmedpora village from the alleged kidnapper who was arrested. |
