| Missing youth's body recovered from canal | | | JAMMU: The body of a youth, who had gone missing under mysterious circumstances from a marriage function at Domana few days back, was today recovered by police from the canal.
Police sources said Kulwant Saini, son of Chaman Lal Saini of Arina, came to Domana on December 10 last to attend the marriage ceremony in his friend's house.
He, however, disappeared under mysterious circumstances from his friend's house on the marriage night. His family members lodged a report in this connection with the Domana police station on December 13.
His body was today recovered from the canal at Domana. Police removed the body to the GMC hospital mortuary. Sources said the post-mortem would be conducted on the body Thursday by a board of doctors. Police had launched inquest proceedings in the case under section 174 of CrPC. |
