| Prosecution witnesses' statement deferred | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 29: The hearing of Amandeep murder case was deferred yet again today owing to accused Royal Singh's serious ailment. Singh, who was not present yesterday was produced by the police today. However, he remained unconscious and, therefore, not in a position to understand the proceedings.
Amandeep's mother, who had come to get her statement recorded, watched in utter disbelief as the hearing was deferred. Her statement could not be recorded.
The court after hearing all the parties directed Jail Authorities to provide treatment to the accused and the accused was remanded back to Judicial Custody.
The court while deferring the statement of prosecution witness further observed that since the record has been called by the High Court in two petitions and when record is received back from the High Court accused will be summoned from the concerned Jail, till then they shall remain in the judicial custody.
