| Legislative Committee discusses various petitions | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec , 30: The Committee on Petitions of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly as held today under the chairmanship of MLA Ashok Khajuria here. The Meeting discussed threadbare various petitions received by the Committee.
After threadbare discussion, the Committee decided that to facilitate immediate disposal of the petition of J&K Doodhi Banyara Association regarding fencing of Dhoke Dubjan Kadlabal Sarbal and adjoining area falling in tehsil and district Shopian to call concerned authorities of forest and its allied departments in this pursuit in the first instance.
The Committee also deliberated on another petition received by ex-MLA Parthvi Chand regarding restoration of security. The Committee directed the deputy secretary, Legislative Assembly, B. A. Wani to sought information with regard to security and norms fixed to all ex- legislators from Inspector General Security. The meeting decided that the Committee will meet on January 17, 2011 to examine other petitions.
Legislators Mohammad Khalil Band, advocate Abdul Haq, Sukhndan Kumar, Mohammad Ashraf Ganai, Sharief-ud- Naiz, Nizamu Din Bhat and Krishan Chander gave their valuable suggestions to settle the petitions received so far. |
