| Lecture of stress management organised at GCW Parade | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec , 30: On the ninth day of special winter camp, National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Government College for Women (GCW), Parade, organized a special lecture on “Stress Management”. The session was conducted by Ayurveda psychiatry expert Varun Suthra.
Speaking on the occasion, Suthra said that stress related diseases are major concern during the present times and it is important that people should be able to understand the specific Ayurvedic tips to deal with the issue.
NSS volunteers were made to learn some exercises and some practical techniques to deal with the stress. The session with duration of about two hours was divided in two parts. The first half included the basic revelations regarding psychophysical setup of an individual while in the second half, the art of molding stress to strength was stressed
upon. Speaking on the occasion, principal GCW Parade, Dr. Kiran Bakshi said that such activities help in constructing a positive attitude in students. Moreover, this adds many dimensions to their personality. Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included NSS programme officers Dr. S.D.S Jamwal and Dr. Sushma Mahajan besides others.
