| Lal Singh convenes meeting | | |
KATHUA, NOVEMBER 07
To redress the grievances of the people on-the- spot, Member Parliament Ch Lal Singh convened a meeting of officers here today.
Additional District Development Commissioner Kathua Dr Mandeep K Bhandari, Assistant Commissioner Development Mr Shyam Bijyal, Assistant Commissioner Development Samba Mrs. Indu Chib, Chief Education Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Assistant Director CA&PD, District Social Welfare Officer, Executive Engineers of Irrigation, Flood Control, PDD, R&B, RTIC and other district officers attended the meeting.
A large number of people from all over the district were also present on the occasion.
The people raised various demands mostly relating to irrigation facilities, providing of more teachers in schools and widow pension.
Ch Lal Singh listened to the problems of the people and directed the concerned district officers to mitigate these. Some of the problems were redressed on-the-spot by the district officers who were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Ch Lal Singh exhorted upon the officers to work with dedication and honesty and impressed upon them to mitigate the sufferings of common masses.
