| Short Term Course on Matlab concludes | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 31: The 1st national biennial one week Short Term Course on “An Introduction to MATLAB® and Matrox® Imaging Library with emphasis on hands on practice (MMIL’10)” concluded today at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra.
The course was attended by 57 students who had come from colleges across India.
The course highlighted the significance of MATLAB® and Matrox® Imaging Library, acronym for Matrix laboratory in solving complex engineering computations, simulation & analysis of intricate circuitry without any hardware and also MIL (Matrox Imaging Library, USA) is hardware-independent, modular imaging library designed for fast application development worldwide.
Lectures on various topics like Programming Graphics, Simulation using Simulink, Signal Processing, Image Processing using MATLAB and Matrox Imaging Library were delivered by faculty and authorized technical persons from MIL.
All the participants were moved by the exposure they had. They stressed on the need for organizing such events in future.
Vipan Kakkar, Director, School of Electronics and Communication Engineering distributed the certificate to the participant.
The course coordinator, Amit K. Pandit delivered the vote of thanks and emphasized upon the need to learn simulation & analysis tools like MATLAB as this is going to play a significant role in the field of technology for the coming years.
He thanked Vice Chancellor R.N.K. Bamezai, SMVDU for extending his valuable support towards organizing such events & he also thanked the participants for their overwhelming response to join the course and make it a success.
He thanked the registrar, finance officer, deputy finance officer , director, faculty and staff of SECE, dean COE, media cell and SO legal for their kind support and valuable help.
He also announced the first IEEE, “International conference on communication systems and network (ICCSN-2011), at SMVDU in June-2011.
He requested the participants for wide spread publicity of the conference to make it success.
