| Sayeed inaugurates book exhibition | | | SRINAGAR, November 07 To promote the rich literary, cultural and the historical achievements among the posterity, the government is contemplating to set up an expert committee to recommend various ways so that the future generation is made aware about the rich heritage of all the regions of the state. This was state by the Minister for Education, Science & Technology Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed while inaugurating a Book Exhibition organized by the Directorate of School Education, Kashmir at youth hostel here today. In the exhibition 12 thousand books were displayed on different stalls set up by the 120 publishing houses of the state. Books relating to Science, History, Culture, Computer Science, Management, Social Science and other related fields were displayed. The Minister went through various stalls and showed keen interest in the book exhibition and exhorted upon the people who were present on the occasion to inculcate the habit of reading as it not only enhances one’s knowledge but at the same time enriches his personality. He called upon the organizers to organize more such exhibitions as quality reading material is not easily available to the readers nowadays. Besides, various book lovers, the Director School Education were present on the occasion. |
