NEW DELHI, DEC 31: Year 2011 is unique! This New Year will witness dates having only one number in its date, month and year six times.
Add a date with its month and year, the total digit reads one six times. The date is November 11, 2011. When date, month and year will be 11-11-11. This combination of date, month and year comes once in a century.
Such figure with only one digit in its date, month and year will be witnessed four times in 2011. And this starts from the very first day of the New Year which reads -- 1.1.11. The First day of the year will be written as 1.1.11, while on January 11, it will be 11.1.11. On November 1, the figure will be 1.11.11 and on November 11, it will be 11.11.11.
Earlier, such figures had been recorded in the year 1911 and now will be witnessed after 100 years in 2111. Though similar digits were also seen in 2001, there was a difference that all digits (date, month and year) have one number less in their round figure, i.e. on November 11, 2010, it read as 11-11-10.
Date having only one number in month and year was witnessed four times in 2001, while figure will be recorded six times in 2011, making it unique year of this century.
