BASANTGARH (UDHAMPUR), Dec 31: A unique Officer-Public open rendezvou was held at Basantgarh today under the chairmanship of Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Amit Sharma in which more than 25 departments participated.
The rare feature of this rendezvous was incessant snowy and rainy weather conditions and huge quantum of public participation in this meet beating challenge thrown by weather gods. At the outset, all the officers while introducing themselves also provided details of ongoing developmental works in entire Sub-Division.
Lot of issues related to provision of basic infrastructural facilities in the Sub-Division were raised by representatives of public to which SDM Amit Sharma gave a patient hearing and issued spot directions to all concerned officers to address them in time bound manner. He directed PWD officers to ensure smooth passage of vehicles on Sub-Division roads, PDD officers to ensure uninterrupted supply of power and CAPD to dump sufficient stocks in various stores in Dudu Bassantgarh.
Although the weather was very hostile and most of the track and area was slippery and Finally, SDM Amit Sharma also instructed officers of the Sub Division to participate with zeal and dedication in the forthcoming national festival of Republic Day and also directed them to attend the main function at Basantgarh.
