'Jan, Singh's appointment was illegal' | Appointment of Director Health services Jammu quashed | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 31: State high court today quashed appointment of Director Health Services Dr. Ashok Sharma and Director Family welfare for Jammu region and directed Jammu and Kashmir government to fill-up the posts on substantive basis in accordance with heath and family welfare recruitment rules-2006 within four weeks. Justice Hasnain Masoodi passed this order in a petition filed by In-charge Deputy Director (Schemes) Kashmir. Court ordered that present stop-gap arrangement shall stay in force for a period of one month with effect from the date of this judgement and cease to stay thereafter. Court further allowed the Jammu and Kashmir government to order stop-gap arrangement, if necessary in place of present arrangement within the aforesaid one month in accordance with recruitment rules of 2006. Court further said that such arrangement shall also come to an end after the said period of one month. Referring to earlier appointments of Dr.Jasbir Singh and Dr.Muzaffar Jan both of whom superannuated as Director Health Services for Jammu and Kashmir regions respectively, court said that the appointment were illegal and made in complete disregard of the recruitment rules of 2006. |
