Sharma for inculcating values of discipline, service to mankind among youth

Scouting plays major role in education and character building for the youth all over the world by inculcating the values of discipline, service and patriotism.
This was stated by the Minister for Health and Medical Education, Mr. Mangat Ram Sharma while addressing at the annual day function of J&K State Bharat Scouts & Guides held here today.
Minister of State for Finance Law, Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs Mr. Prem Sagar Aziz, Chairman Pahari Advisory Board Mr. Shabir Ahmed Khan Special Secretary Planning, Ms Roma Wani State Commissioner, Scouts and Guides Mr. I. D. Soni, Commissioner Guides, Ms. Nasreen Khan, President Scouts and Guides Mr. Davinder Rana also attended the function.
Mr. Sharma Said that during the last two centuries the world has come closer since Science and Technology has progressed beyond our expectations and we are living in a global village. He said we are compelled to work together as a family for the betterment of mankind as whole and added that values and spirit of scouting may help to achieve this objective.
Conveying his best wishes and appreciation to the organization, Mr. Sharma said that they can play an important role in guiding and supporting young population all over the country and to infuse values of courage, service and up-uprightness. He added that these values combined with the natural energy and enterprise of young people can help them to play catalytic instrument in the transformation of society. He said the Principles and codes of the Scout Movement is required to be geared up to achieve the goal.
The Minister also distributed certificates and appreciation letters among the Scouta and Guides for their excellent performance. Other highlights of the function were distribution of flag stickers among the participants, all faith prayer and cultural programme presented by the students of Sangrila Public School, New Era Environmental School and Nav Yug Public School Subash Nagar Jammu which was highly appreciated by the audience.
