| Govt claims exposed, Commerce College lack sports facilities. | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 1: DESPITE tall claims of the state government to make sports more and more popular in the state, here Commerce College lacks sports facility.
Talking about the sports facilty in the college, one of the sportsmen said that the State Government claims to enhance sports are just a foul as there is no sports room and faculty in the college. He said that there was a gym for the sportsmen in the college but presently there is no faculty which clearly indicates government’s negligent approach towards sportsmen.
He also said that there is not even a proper grass layer on the grounds due to which they cannot play properly. he stated that on one side when the government is expecting better results from the sports persons of the state but on the other side is not providing us sufficient infrastructure to groom the skills of the sports persons.
When contacted Principal Anita Sudan said ``we had sent a proposal to higher education authorities towards the renovation of the college but unfortunately they are not taking any interest about the future of students who are pursuing graduation from the college’’.
