| City Police solves murder case in 48 hours | | |
Jammu, Nov 7 City police today claimed to have solved Christian colony murder case in 48 hours and arrested an absconder (accused) who was allegedly involved in the case. It was reliably learnt that Kitty Mattoo who allegedly murdered one of his neighbor Vishal Mattoo son of Vijay resident of Prem Nagar, Jogi Gate after a minor scuffle over Rs 400 on Sunday evening. The case FIR no 80 under section 302 was registered against one Kitty son of Aziz Mattoo resident of Christian colony in city police station. When contacted, Station House officer, City Police station, Inspector Kuljeet Singh confirmed the arrest and said that a police party headed by investigating officer; after directions from SP North Sanjay Kotwal and SDPO city, Ashok Sharma; who was assigned the job, today arrested Kitty from the city vicinity on a specific information. The record of Kitty, he said, “is of criminal back ground and he was a history sheeter. It took us only 48 hours to arrest the accused.” Giving details of the case, SHO City police station said that the accused was wanted in FIR No 80 under section 302 of RPC, said adding that Kitty who allegedly murder Vishal had gone underground and today, on a tip off police raided the house where he was hiding after he commit murder.
